VCC designed and built a 2 channel 700 bar hydrostatic test panel for Total Valve Control BV in the Netherlands. TVC are a specialist valve manufacturer, making niche products such as Rising Stem Ball Valves and Dual Expanding Plug Valves.

Seetru, VCC client and major manufacturer of pressure relief valves, wanted an interactive centrepiece for their stand at ValveWorld. We designed and built a 'test your strength' style machine in which you press a red plunger, and if you press hard enough you lift a relief valve, venting liquid into a tank. The lift pressure is displayed on an LCD screen.
It received a lot of attention at the exhibition! Macs is tall.....but not THAT tall. We just completed some of our tallest ever builds including trunnion ball valves for buried service with 2m extensions
Already messing about with Valves and Actuators in 1990. This photograph is at IVCO Process Valves in Bristol.
iVAPPS is a state-of-the-art connected technology platform which will revolutionise flow control. Based on a flexible valve design (which can be repaired and modified under pressure!) the iVAPPS system means that customers can include instrumentation within the valve envelope which reports back as a node on the internet of things (IoT)
iVAPPS is working together with VCC to carry out business development projects within the UK for more information www.ivapps.io Indra Srl are a specialist manufacturer of instrumentation valves. Their state of the art facility is only a few hundred metres from our actuator partners Servovalve in Magenta, near Milan.
Following a recommendation from their neighbours, Indra have appointed VCC as the agents for England and Wales. Like Servovalve, Indra will quote directly to our customers at factory prices making them extremely competitive. Indra products include; DBB valves, Needle valves, Instrument manifolds, mono flanges and HIPPS manifolds. For more information visit www.indra.it VCC continues to specialise in Valve automation system design. We work closely with our customers to understand and interpret often very complex specifications and requirements to arrive at the optimum design.
Our customers typically receive a Schematic, GA drawing, Wiring Diagram and Bill of Materials, allowing them to win more projects whilst minimising mistakes and maximising profit. For more information give us a ring or drop us an email. VCC uses 3D CAD software for all of our designs. Using 3D as standard allows us to take advantage of all of the additional features such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
FEA enables us to validate our designs by visualising how our component withstands the forces which will act on it in use. The analysis takes into account the design, materials of construction and the area in which the force is applied. We typically use FEA in designs for mounting brackets, HPU frames and accumulator racks. For more information, give us a call or drop us an email. Our customer, Edmund Valve Company free-issued 89 floating and trunnion Ball Valves together with aluminium and heavy duty actuators and controls.
VCC was responsible for sizing of the actuators, mounting kit design (although we managed to mount many sizes direct!) assembly and testing. The 89 were completed in 5 days by Mike and Macs End destination, a power project in Iraq. For more information on Edmund Valve Company, visit www.edmundvalve.com |
Author Mike WainwrightAfter joining the Valve and Actuator industry at 17, I have worked within it for 35 years and at board level since 1996. My colleague Macs. loves technology, is highly proficient at CAD and has become an integral and highly valued part of VCC whilst he completes his engineering qualifications at University. Archives
